This is the first photo from my new camera. I wonder why I waited so long. Actually I know why...$.
Rusty is been with us for one year now and he is a "keeper".

Summer is officially over...
I did these for the sixth exercise in the Collage Workbook by Randel Plowman. It called for pairing collages so I cut the driving scene in half and collages over both digitally.

Wave Summer Goodbye...I wish...
I really love sunflowers and when they start to droop I feel the summer should be over. Unfortunately it is to be a 90 degree day. HHH. The sunflowers have faded., the kids have returned to school and fall will come. I love cycles.

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
Plato is quoted as saying "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle."
Image from a German children's book 1845 "Der Struwwelpeter" by Heinrich Hoffmann, literally translated, Struwwel-Peter means Shaggy-Peter. It comprises ten illustrated and rhymed stories, mostly about children. Each has a clear moral that demonstrates the disastrous consequences of misbehavior in an exaggerated way.

Collage Work Book Exercise 5, Color Plunge
Summer
We are lucky to have our electricity again but many in the Wash DC metro area will be out for awhile and it is triple digit temperarues. I don't think that fan will help much.

Collage Work Book Exercise 4, Color Charge
An experiment with applying color to a collage primarily back and white. I did the color with digital brushes. |
Some more Black and White...
...at least it started that way. Black and White and all the shades of mold between. This was a large sheet of moldy background paper. It gave me room for the Banyan Tree.

Collage Workbook Exercise 1
Memorial Day, 28 May 2012
Do an exercise a week and see where it takes me.
The first prompt is for five... five minute collages. I ended up doing a collage a day.
